Top Things to do in Sevilla




The Cathedral

The Seville cathedral is the third-largest church in the world!! It was originally a mosque which was destroyed and the Cathedral was opened in its place. It is located in the heart of the city. It is so big and beautiful... you won't be able to miss it. 



The Giralda
The Giralda is Seville’s most famous landmark. The tower is attached to the cathedral and is visible from outside the city. and would have completely dominated the skyline in Moorish times when it served as a minaret and watchtower. 
The Alcázar
The Alcázar can be found right around the corner of the cathedral & giralda. It is a royal palace that was originally developed by the Moorish Muslim kings. It is known as one of the most beautiful palaces in Spain. It is the oldest royal palaces still in use in Europe. There are also some beautiful gardens that you can enjoy with your entrance. 

Barrio Santa Cruz
This neighborhood is bordered by the alcázar and the gardens. It was considered the old Jewish quarter. It is extremely easy to get lost in this neighborhood because it is like a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleys. Barrio Santa Cruz is fun to get lost in because it holds hidden gems like beautiful patios and small stores that sell traditional souvenirs. 
Plaza de Espana
This is a plaza that is located in Parque María Luisa (Maria Luisa Park.) The principal building was built to showcase Spain's industry and technology exhibits. Today the Plaza de España mainly consists of Government buildings. Fun Fact: It has been used as a filming location for Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.
